Sedr - also know an Persian Lotus Powder is a brown/green powder from the crushed leaves of an evergreen shrub  Zizyphus. A natural product that conditions and cleanses the hair.

Ziziphus Spina Christi belongs to the buckthorn family - an evergreen shrub said to be the tree from which Jesus's crown of thorns was made.

The word Ziziphus comes from zizfum or zizafun the Persian word for Lotus.

Fantastic in thickening limp and lifeless hair. Sedr has no dye content. May help with dandruff.

You need 2-4 tablespoons depending on hair length. Mix with water until it has a consistancy of thick yogurt. Cover hair with the mix and  put on a shower cap or similar, leave for anything between an hour to 4 hours before rinsing out.

Tip: Add an egg to your mix to give your hair a glorious soft and glossy look.

You can also add this to a henna/ henna indigo mix and put it all on together.
